Mothers Day Shimmers

This is part of the reason I've been quiet for a while. Mothers Day was coming up and I needed to get something done for both my mom and stepmom.

It was the perfect opportunity to experiment with fantasy foil as well, though I landed myself in more fussing than I realized!
First round I tried the candle method, and that botched royally with an unsteady flame!
Second round I used the iron technique, and part of the wing on the blue one slipped out from under the parchment paper and slightly fizzled when I touched iron to it. However, the wings were usable. Now here's were foresight/hindsight were 20/20, but memory retaining slipped.
I told myself to seal the painted sculptures before attaching the wings, but then went and did the opposite. So I sat there musing, "Well, it's clear matte spray so it can't do much of anything anyways." WRONG! The wings fogged up as soon as the spray hit it, so I had to tear out the old wings and put in new ones XP This time around I had a template ready for the wire and knew the process to iron with, producing better wings with less air bubbles.

The blue one has gone to my mom here (as it was the test dragon), and the green will be shipped to my stepmom in Maine as soon as I can.

These guys I named Faluri Dragons, and I'm debating since I have a template for them whether or not to offer them as physical adoptables for any who would be interested, and the pricing for a custom one.
